Zorni kot-tok (Angle of View — Flow)

2005, Ljubljana, the Gruber open-air gallery. A sculptural installation with workshops.

The installation of sculptures originally made for the project "Addressed to the Freedom of the Other" in the church at Kostanjevica (together with Žiga Okorn) was an open, year-long process. Several events took place even before the opening itself: the ploughing of the earth into converging lines, as in perspective, and the sowing of grain on the first day of spring; the placing of stone "boats" alongside those ploughed lines in memory of the anniversary of Gruber's death; and a performance by the American sculptor John Antone, in which he "plays" with Barbie dolls and addresses deeply problematic patterns bound up with family and the raising of children.

The opening of the installation of the large sculptures took place in May, where a video made in collaboration with Janez Ferlan was also presented, followed by a further round table as part of the Museum Night. (A reduced-size version of the video is available beneath the last photograph.)
