2012, marking and celebrating Statehood Day.
The exhibition for the twentieth anniversary of Slovenian independence, held in the gallery of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Washington DC, was organised together with the Institute for Sculpture, which won the presentation competition with my exhibition proposal. Part of the exhibition was installed conventionally in rooms otherwise used for receptions and similar events, and part was set up for a short demonstration of casting wax into wooden moulds, since a number of the works came from the series of votive wax figurines.
The opening coincided with the Statehood Day celebration, attended by guests from other embassies, many senators and prominent political figures from various countries. The exhibition also included a video projection presenting Signs of Science, the sculptural project for the large work at the Pregl Research Centre of the National Institute of Chemistry, which I was working on at the time.
